Vial of Venus was founded with the key objective of making high quality, consciously sourced crystals and spiritual tools easily accessible and affordable. To this day, I am dedicated to that mission! 

The backstory to making Vial of Venus come to life and me, Beth, the one woman behind your new favourite mystical shop. Let’s start at the beginning, I have collected crystals since a very early age (about 8 yrs old), so crystals have been in my life now for over 15 years now! Which is more than half my life…Discovering crystals so young and continuing to learn, research, read, dig, collect, and work with these magical gifts from Mother Nature shaped me into the person I am today. I honestly can’t imagine a reality without us together! I believe no matter the age, when you find crystals, or they find you, it’s always for a reason… even if you don’t see it at the time.

It all started with my mum, who always had some crystals in her bedroom, as she had good friends who were crystal and reiki healers, so they give me books to read and even gifted to me my very first crystals. One of my core childhood memories is of the small metaphysical shop that used to be in my local town that my mum would take me to (after i begged to look at the dragons, fairies and pretty rocks). From what I remember I’ve been collecting them ever since, and my love for the mystic and whimsy never left. They were the first stepping stones (get it ;) ) for me into this magical world and all things mystical.

Looking back, I opened myself up spiritually in small amounts over the years, and as I’ve grown, I’ve been able to grasp it all and make sense about the fact that this ideology of the world was very much real. Instead of before when I was child I LOVED the idea of collecting pretty ‘rocks’ that my mum would say ‘holds a piece of magic if you believe’ , then coming into my adult years and truly seeing what she meant. I’ve continued to grow and mature and I’ve definitely felt my crystals have grown with me, and the beliefs which aided me into the path I’ve took today, to where I am now running Vial of Venus… (kid me would be mind blown and over the moon if she could see).

I’ve experienced a lot of loss and struggled with my mental health over the years, which helped me seek help/healing with crystals as well as some troubling environments and experiences growing up. Due to this I’ve always said I wanted to help others when growing up, but honestly I never thought it would be in such a way I wholeheartedly love and be so passionate about. 

So how did I get from that to Vial of Venus becoming real? Well, I was actually working as a tarot reader throughout lockdown, which tied into the helping people, but it would leave me so drained and realistically wasn’t what I wanted to solely do full time. Don’t get me wrong I loved it and I still do but I wanted to do more, I wanted to connect with people and help them in more ways!… so what was my other love/passion?… Crystals!! What couldn’t I find locally or easily accessible?… Crystals!! And what couldn’t I find affordable, top quality and guaranteed sustainably sourced online?… you guessed it… Crystals!! 

So I decided to do it myself like deep down I always dreamt of doing, being that litter girl again in the crystal shop thinking this will be me, this is it. So I saved all the money I could from tarot and over the first covid-19 lockdown 2020 in the U.K. (where I’m based), the idea arose for Vial of Venus to come to life. Which from then took over a year of research, planning, time, money, plus a lot of trial and error. To be honest the opening was meant to be a lot later in the year but I was too excited and decided to just go with it and what I had which worked… so Vial of Venus first opened on Depop on 4th January 2021. You can still find me and find my first products and reviews on Depop  to this day, with the username @vialofvenus. Even with the fact I started small and I miraculously managed to grow rather quickly in more stock, support, orders and love from all you amazing angels who have seen my journey. So in July of that year with, 12k on tiktok and 2k on insta it was time I moved to my own bigger and better website. Which you’re reading this all on now. 

So thats the story so far… my ultimate dream is to eventually open my own physical shop (even multiple) so stay tuned… you may get to see me in person one day!
